This training will focus on the planning and process of conducting a workforce reduction or layoff, including the importance of advanced planning to ensure legal compliance. Do you know your advanced notification obligations under the WARN Act? What about a group layoff of workers aged 40 or older? Included will be a review of your obligations under the WARN Act and the Older Worker’s Benefit Protection Act (OWBPA) for eligible layoffs or reductions. Practical scenarios will be used to demonstrate the information and provide broad understanding of the concepts.
