The training on “Wage and Hour Basics” aims to educate new supervisors on the most important wage and hour laws and regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act. The training should help new supervisors identify common wage and hour issues that can arise in the workplace, such as classification, meal and rest periods, overtime pay, and understand how to address these issues in compliance with the law.
Additionally, the training should equip supervisors with practical strategies for managing wage and hour issues in their department or team, including implementing policies and procedures that promote compliance, communicating effectively with employees about wage and hour issues, and responding appropriately to employee complaints or concerns. By the end of the training, attendees should feel confident in their ability to promote fair and legal wage and hour practices in their workplace.
