On September 25, 2025, Novus Law Firm hosted a briefing entitled, “New CA Immigration Enforcement Notice Law (S.B. 98) to Take Immediate Effect” for our institution of higher education clients located in California. In this session, Novus provided a briefing on the key aspects of California Senate Bill 98, which requires California institutions of higher education to notify their campuses in the event of immigration enforcement action on campus. This bill was signed by the Governor and passed as urgency legislation. Attendees were provided with resources for immediate compliance.
