Natasha Baker Joins Panel Discussion on Impacts of Dobbs Decision at Washington Higher Education Secretariat

Natasha Baker of Novus Law Firm, Inc. will join a panel of higher education association leaders at the November 1, 2022 monthly meeting of the Washington Higher Education Secretariat (WHES) to discuss institutional impacts of the Dobbs ruling and what organizations and members are doing in response to the decision.

On June 24, 2022, the United States Supreme Court in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization upheld a Mississippi law that prohibited abortions after 15 weeks, except in limited circumstances. In so doing, the Court overturned Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pa. v. Casey and prompted a number of questions from college and university clients regarding how the Court’s decision impacts students, employees, and institutions with student health or academic medical centers.
